You'll either need to have it looked at, or give us a much more detailed description of the symptoms. I'm afraid that "a funny wizzing sound", even along with the other things you've said, doesn't give us anywhere near enough to do any more than guess with.

Does this wizzing sound occur all the time, or only when you've got your foot down, and when you say you have a "loss of power at 80mph", do you mean it temporarily dies when accerating before starting to pull again, or do you mean that it consistently misses and fluffs at around this speed. Does the same thing happen in fourth and fifth, and at the same speed, or just one or t'other?

the sound happens arfter a good thrashing and not before. the sound is a low pitch spinning sound on acceleration.

The loss of power comes all the time. When i am cruising at 80 mph in 4th or 5th it will hesitate then it will just take of. which is about 3500 rph and 4500 rph. But the loss of power has been there for a while. I thought it may of been the new bp fuel. so i changed that. I also over filled my oil, so it got all in the intercooler and turbo. I removed the intercooler and cleaned all the oil and removed the extra oil. then it went.
but it started again, so i checked the intercooler and there was oil there again, then i cleaned it all out with peterol and it was spotless and it is still now. but it is still there. but i am still using bp fuel.

I guess this wont be of much help to you but I often get an ( inconsistent ) squeal noise (like a loose power steering belt) when coming on boost especially if its uphill. Cant figure out what it is, might be overboost, up-pipe, downpipe, sport cat?? .....

The loss of power sounds like the hesitation problems a lot of people on here mention from time to time but I have also felt a loss of power for two other reasons. One was due to a faulty ECU on some Euro cars which has been changed and the other was due to det and the ECU pulling timing accordingly.

The 97/98 year models used to have a known problem with the dump valve not closing properly, giving a low pitch noise, putting too much oil in was usually often the trigger.

The 99 year model uses a different design but yours still may have gunged up if overfilling the oil.

Try taking off the dump valve and giving it a flush with wd40/brake cleaner etc.

Do you have a boost gauge? you ,may notice odd behaviour off the dump valve with loss of boost.
