Default New turbo for MY98 UK

I'm thinking of getting a new turbo for my UK MY98.

My engine mods so far are very limited: full decat, K&N, and running a Blitz Dual SBC to control boost at 1.1.

I have got boost, oil pressure, oil temp gauges and knocklink, and now looking at either TD05H or VF29. Am I safe in using either of these on my car without a remap, or will I be OK?

The reason I ask is that I know MY98 are buggers on ECU issues, as there aren;t many options on them. Can I use an Apexi Power FC on my car? If I can, it would solve most of the issues very quickly.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you don't want to change the ECU then I would drop Rich Wild a line at Jap Innovations, he runs a MY97 with a TD05 and OEM ECU and injectors to great effect.

Actually, looks like Apexi Power FC is good for my car, so i'll be looking into that!
