Fitting a quickshift???
Hi all,
I have just purchased a quickshift/shortshift gear stick and have a question on the fitting of it.
How do you remove the old gearstick?, i've removed the bolt going across and through the bearing/pivot but can't get the ball joint out.
Is it a case of sheer brute force or do you have to get under the car and loosen the poly bush joint thing from the underside?
Any help would be much appreciated, cheers

Pull the lever right back with a bit of force, it should just pop out.
Putting the other one in is the tricky bit, i used a piece of wood on top of the lever to stop the thread getting damaged, and the gave it a sharp tap with a 2lb lump hammer.
Hope this helps
