Default Sticky Clutch pedal

On my 93 wrx my clutch occasionally sticks at the start of the free play, every so often it will pop up by its self, but sometimes it stays down.

Its only about 20mm below the level of the brake pedal when its stuck, as opposed to inline with it when i free it, or it pops back up.

Its just a bit irritating, and you can feel the vibration of the clutch when its spinning in the stuck position.

Any ideas

P.S. its a new clutch

Is the return spring on the clutch fork old or broken?

Cool

It may need the pedal adjusting, as the "free play" may well be too far out. This is very common, and easliy resolved, simply take the car back and get the person who fitted it to reset the free play position on the pedal.

I've had a similar problem in the past - turned out to be the slave cylinder sticking.
