Default How to recognize a front LSD

Another question guys,

I own a MY03 Spanish Sti and here is a lot of confusing info about its front differential. The magazines, subaru, and the techy guys disagree. Some says that the Spanish marquet is the only one that does not use a front LSD (as it seems happened with the MY02), other says that its a non LSD but thats better than the WRX ones becaused is a "Suretrack",...
So how can I recognize what kind of differential used my car with my own eyes?

Hum, a suretrac diff IS an LSD which is a torque biasing LSD produced by AP.

The WRX i believe has an open diff.

As far as I know all STi's-03's have LSD's, but the JDM's have the electronic center DCCD diff.

easy:you guet up the front wheels and you turn one with the hand.
if the other front wheel turn on the same way,you have a lsd.
if it turn on the other way you have a free differential

The same here Magazines and Subaru say that isn't Suretracl while dealers claim that is!
I did a similar test as the above with a friends STI03 and it has a non LSD/Suretrack front diff I don't know what it actually has and why this!

The UK 03 STi does have a suretrac LSD.

These are not like the old sailsbury diffs, so the turning test will not probably work (though not tried it).

Easy way to test, park on grass and give it some, if you can spin all 4 wheels you have 3 LSD's

I believe that if you "give some" enough it will spin with 4 wheels anyway, isn´t it? I´m wondering if you are talking about a concrete type of spin... If affirmative, wich?
Any other apreciable detail and/or feeling whem the spin is happening?
