i would have thought that the standerd ecu will compensate for small minor mods to sum degree, but sumthing like ported headers

i have no idea
they seam to handle a decat (jap excluded) so maybe??
depends on the porting job i suppose?

Well I am going for a remap anyway in the near(ish) future and I think I may now be going with equal length headers

they don't "require" a remap per se

but in order to get the best performance gains out of the headers, then yes, its needed as your current map will be based on your current mods.

id be inclined to put the turbo in too, plus any other mods you want (uprated fuelling, injectors etc), before you pay out on a remap each time... or it will get costly.

cheers

Im now looking at the following

VF24 Turbo
Equal Length Headers (my existing sheilds are corroded now)
FPR &uprated Fuel Pump
Remap on ECUTEK

Target is 300bhp, not sure on what torque figures I will get from those mods, anything more than the 300bhp will be a bonus

With ported and wrapped headers and a TD05 front entry and re-map 300bhp is on the cards. (Throw away the heat shields.)
No need to go to equal length headersa as tubular will do the job but only necessary if you are going well past 300bhp.
Obviously you decide on all your mods and get them completed just before the re-map.
Bob Rawle is your man for that.

Wrapp the cast iron headers? Can this be done? I would like to know as I am thinking of porting my own. All the suppliers of wrap say not suitable for cast iron
