Unhappy Correct boost for MY97 Sti?

Sure it's been asked before but couldn't find using search - anyone know what standard boost for an MY97 STi should be. Reason I ask is that my car only made 260bhp on the PE Rolling Road - it was running 1 bar and fuelling OK. I always thought 1 bar was the norm for this model of STi.
Should I fit and boost controller - and if so what boost should be safe?
Any ideas would be helpful - I was a bit negged with the power - it made 280bhp on same rollers 6 months ago but boost was spiking - they have fixed this but I am down on power!

Thanks guys - if it should be 1,3bar then it probably explains why I a down on power. I have a full de-cat which lead to spiking/fuel cut - PE have sorted that out - but only running sready 1bar. It goes back in next week and the fix could be a boost controller. If I can run at 1.3bar this should surely see me get back to around 280bhp?

i read on here that 1.1bar (circa 16psi) is about standard. my crappy (and i mean crappy) non STi engine with numerous breathing/fuelling upgrades mapped to 1.3bar (tad under 19psi) managed 295hp/264lbft and possibly could have made 300hp on the day (was detting so backed off). i believe this is higher than STi is supposed to be as standard - so 1.1bar sounds approximately right to make you 280PS(276bhp).

Yes, it would pay to ignore me, it seems my standard STi engine is boosting too high and should be about 1.1 bar (16 psi).
