Default Check Engine

Can you help, sorry if it's a regular posting.

New engine rebuild to WRX RA 93(K) has resulted in warning light staying on. Checked fluid levels - no obvious problems, has anyone an idea.

I'm living in fear!

Many thanks

Nice one, so I guess this aint a DIY job! Pretty much most garages these days run diagnostic software, a local specialist has said he can run a full diagnostic for around fifty quid. Anything to watch out for? The guy who rebuilt the engine has said it's nothing to worry about, but he don't have the gear to do the job!

Dilemma...

Thanks for your help

check your fault codes mate its probably a faulty sensor somewhere. my light used to come on it scared the sh!te out of me did codes was a idle sensor nothing major. do this before forking out 50 quid because thats what the garage guy will do to find out whats wrong y pay him when you can do it your self

£50 is a rip when u can do it yourself in a matter of minutes for free. it IS a diy job to diagnose the fault, definitely.

just follow the instructions given in the_judge's link. it really is that easy.
