How is it expensive to fit ? The bracket is already there and all you then need is the extension pieces underneath the intercooler for your hose to reach the induction pipe.
20 minute job and no more than £30 for the additional parts.

I agree with ZIPPY - these are a doddle to fit. I fitted an STI8 intercooler to my MY02 WRX with no real problems (all the hosing came with the intercooler second-hand).
THe only problem was that due to the larger size of the new I/C I had to take my strut brace off first, then put it back in place once the I/C was fitted
certainly isn't an expensive job.... ?

With all the right bits they are a straight swap... I tried hard to get a second hand Sti intercooler for my MY02;..Grade A, Scoobynet , e-bay ...I gave in and got a new one at (I think) £450 plus vat plus the metal "Y" piece underneath at another 70 quid...Ouch!!
I fitted it as part of a turbo / intercooler / injectors / fuel pump upgrade (then some Bob Rawle fun dust). Not sure if it will help on it's own.
