Question

Hi,

I have a Blitz DSBC on my car, a MY00 Euro spec Impreza turbo. I would like to ask, does the ECU see the real boost pressure since the EBC is now controlling boost, or does the EBC fool the ECU in any way, giving an incorrect boost signal to the ECU?

Cheers,

Wrexy.

I thought the boost controller does its stuff after the info comes from the ECU?

I have the APEXi boost and fuel controllers.

An EBC is a standalone system to control boost with.
Like a fancy bleedvalve sorta.

Are these boost controllers dangerous or do they run at acceptable boost levels.

Hi all,

Thanks for the replies.

Jake, to answer your question, they can run at acceptable boost levels. It is up to you to decide how much boost you want to run coz you program it. So if you program it to run sensible boost, like nothing over 1.2 bar it should not be dangerous.

Cheers,

Wrexy.
