Had a long chat with one of the guys there and I must say he certainly knows his stuff. Very friendly and very knowledgable too. Has anyone got one of these systems or have any experience of them? It seems that they do custom rally/road/racing systems to your own spec in house. The only thing for me is, as they're up in Lancashire, I can't exactly pop up and have a listen to one (I'm in Berks).

Any comments or experience much appreciated as always..

Cheers,

MS

Nice friendly bunch, and "seem" to know their stuff. So I asked them to make a project I was working on. I was told it would take two weeks to complete.

TWO months later, they had barely started, and asked if they could modify the design, because it didn't fit. Even though the "pattern" came from a part that had been fitted, and worked on my car.....

I gave up, and removed the parts they were to copy/modify. Just my experience.

maybe I'll try somewhere else with my manifold then.

Manifold cracked as well as engine blown...this is my lucky month..NOT!!

Cheepest quote for new stainless manifold was £750 + VAT from Graham Goodes!!

Tim,

It's pretty easy to get hold of second hand manifold parts. Funny you say that's what you were asking them for !!!!! I gave them a standard, and tubular manifold to copy, with my own mods to......even then, after two months of, end of the week, bla, bla, bla.

You've still had a cheaper month than me !!!

Tim,

Why dont you take it back to mines and ask for them to replace it under warranty?

Question

Sorry to bring an old topic back up, but does anybody else have an opinion on Tube Torque exhausts?

I'm looking at getting them to make a bespoke exhaust for my Clio 172 and so want to know if I'm doing the right thing in taking it to them!

Any info/stories would be gratefully received!

Andy.

Had a Tube Torque on my Series 1 Turbo. In my opinion they are the best that money can buy and you can defien to them how loud (or quiet) you want it.

My Series 1 pipe was made up with many straight(ish) pipes welded together. That way you don't get a reduction in diameter that you would get if the pipe was bent.

Sounded great, turbo spun up alot quicker and whistled a treat. Was even complemented on the sound by Power Engineering (where it was regularly tuned).

If you can afford it....do it (would also be interested to find out what it would cost)

Had a Tube Torque on my Escort Cossie

It has to be the loudest system I have ever heard - and very annoying - much, much louder than my current BPM kit

Its seriously loud and impossible to drive on the motorway - within months I'd removed it

Talking

Hi guys,

I went ahead on got Tube Torque to make and fit an exhaust to my car last Thursday.
Hand on heart, the exhaust is superb! I asked them not to make it too loud, but I didn't want good power gains, both of which they have been able to deliver.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Tube Torque. Mark and Peter IMO have done an excellent job!

Lads

I had a small hole in my Cossie exhaust a couple of years ago which was affecting my turbo spin up. I thought I would have to spend £400 on another stainless steel one. So I took it to tube torque in Macclesfield and they sorted it out for nothing but I gave him a tip for doing it.
It's a funny place to find because it's located behind some shops.

Can't really knock them and I heard they made the best exhausts for the Escort RS Turbo's for power gains.

Cheers

Gary

LOL... I only mentioned Tube Torque on another forum a few days ago as a possible option for a guy testing various systems for an S4.
I assume then that you are no longer trading....
