I am getting a whistling noise like someone blowing over the top of a bottle when lifting off for downshifts ?

Can anyone tell me what this is ? Is it normal ?

It sounds like the blow off valve fault, is your car a 97MY ? If you check the FAQ on the SIDC site, think the link is

Thx Ian. Wonder if the extra oil I put in for KH last weekend has done something to me pipes ?

Is that possible ?

yeah if you overfillt he oil it can get into the pipework ! theres instructions in the FAQ how to clean them !
