The guy is asking a simple question, and you all give him a battering because he's got caps on! Get a life!
You'll notice he's relatively new to the board, so give him a break!
Who would have bothered replying if he hadn't typed in capitals? Who has actually offered useful advice???
Andy

Ninja,
a caps lock key will not solve your engine related fears.
If in any doubt with such matters. Call Bob Rawle Developments and ask branko about a knocklink and lambda link. These will allow you to keep an eye at least on fuelling an on det. I would also recommend a defi boost gauge, but from your fuel pressure question, I am guessing you have on already.[/quote]
I am sorry Ninja, does this not constitute advice?
Next time I wont bother. My original question about whether you were serious or not was because it seemed you really did think a caps lock key would solve your problem. I wasn't sure if you were joking or not.

Please excuse the playful nature of everyone, after all... it is Friday
Its extremely unlikely that you will get any overboost. If you do, a thorough cleaning of the manifold pressure sensor and pipework cures it.

Group hug for Andy everybody.
Ninja - Sorry for taking the p1ss if you didn't know. Internet etiquette tells us that typing everything in capital letters is shouting. You will be slagged mercilessly here and everywhere else for it

Yes of course, it's a serious matter. Ninja, Scoobysport will fit a Caps Lock for you for around £250. Vastly improves handling and feedback. Well worth it IMHO.
PC - can I have a commission share.

Great idea DT!
I've got a spare MY99 Caps Lock lying around somewhere in my shed. Was only used for 2 months, due to change for a wireless one.
Yours for just £175.00+postage. Can be fitted in 10 seconds, even by non-technically gifted!
I hope no one at Scoobysport will object to me knicking their potential customers !!!

Can someone post that piccie with a big arrow pointing to a caps lock key so that ninja can understand?

Ninja,
Potentially a cat-free exhaust might cause overboost. Do the modification first, as I know of a few P1 with full exhaust systems, and no overboost issue.
It may show up as the weather gets colder, but there are two solutions to overboost...
1) Change the restrictor size in one of the pipes
2) Get an electronic boost controller
As I say there are many P1's running ok with a cat-less exhaust, but that's no gaurantee that yours will be ok.
See you at the next meet! We can chat about it then, or mail me!
Hope this helps
Andy
PS - I think the Cap Locks thing, is people just being a bit ****, about the use of CAPITAL letters, and it's meant to be 'shouting' in the geek world of the internet!
