I know there loads of threads on which oil and big end no.3 and what have you but, I change the oil often and after reading big end no.3 im driving to gatwick this week and im going to change the oil before i go and seen many threads relating to oils at temperature, I normally use 5-40 fully synthectic chevron oil (its cheap), is it too thin for long journeys. Ive used this oil for about 10 months.
