JUST BOUGHT A STANDARD RB5, (STANDARD APART FROM SCOOBY SPORT BACK BOX AND AIR FILTER) WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THIS AND A WR VERSION. I'VE HEARD I CAN GET MY CONVERTED INTO A WR - HOW MUCH WILL THIS COST, WHAT BHP INCREASE WILL I SEE AND IS IT WORTH IT. WHAT WILL THE CAR GAIN FROM THE CONVERSION? I ALSO KEEP READING ABOUT PPP, WHAT DOES THIS STAND FOR?

PPP stands for Prodrive Performance Pack
The RB5 WR version is basically an RB5 with the PPP and larger rear wing
The PPP is a Prodrive back box, Prodrive ECU and silicon hoses.
This will give around 245 bhp 258 lbft

Thumbs up

Hi,

WR upgrade is good will probably cost you about £2k for ECU and exhaust. Back fin is about £1500 fitted and looks awesome!

Will give you about 237 bhp.

You can then modify the exhaust - My RB5 has had the down pipe upgraded and decatted (not sure £) 15+bhp and also had the centre section (£200) upgraded again 10-15+bhp and sounds awesome!

Don't know much more bar that with the upgrades I have mentioned you wont get left behind by an EVO6 or WRX.

Let me know if you find out of any more good mods!

Cheers

How much

You can get your car 'converted'. I have a non WR RB5 and have 258 bhp and 235 lbft with just exhaust mods If you PPP the car it will add to the value of your car unlike if you have another ECU mod. This should cost you £1500ish from your main dealer. As for the spoiler I think about £500 for a Prodrive one.

Tim
