thinking of doing an engine swap.will R reg sti motor fit onto a 95' year wrx type RA gearbox,bolt holes , shaft size/splines etc?? any help would be usefull.

It will fit straight on.
Unfortunately the wiring is different on the STI.

p.s. it can be adapted quite easily though.

S'alright Burty, I was taking the p*ss, for reasons that would be obvious if you've been reading other threads around the forum.

Thanks for clicking the link though, might have to think of doing something like that for real if you were prepared to click it.

As per Rob's answer, it's physically compatible, but the wiring's slightly different. Others have made the same swap in the past, so quick click on the Search button might throw some light.
