Does anybody have any experience of the Magnex downpipe ??

I have seen it advertised for £180 inc VAT. It seems very cheap in comparison to other pipe. Is it the same?

Please help as a downpipe is my next purchase but I am very confused.

no experience, of it, but apparently they are new and twin dump in design.

Magnex have a good rep, so it will prob be decent. Other option is to scour for second hand stuff which does come up!

 

I've got one, the new one that is. There are pics I posted in drivetrain.

The pipe itself is very good and the end result transforms the car. However, I looked at fitting this myself and had to give up. The supplier warned me it may be difficult to fit as the gearbox mount is a few mm out and the heatshields need trimming.

Took the pipe to my local rally car place who were happy to fit it. Ended up taking them 2 1/2 genuine hours work that out at £40 hour!

I'm not hapy about.

However, this is a fault of Magnex and the supplier has reported it. The new batch should be ok fitting wise so I would wait and see how it goes. I'm writing a strongly worded email to magnex as we speak...

Other than that i'm pleased with it and might be worth hanging on for!
