I've had my full decatted exhaust (Hayward and Scott) on my STi V MY99 5dr for the last 8 months. The car's been running fine. However, I've just realised that I didn't change the air filter ; meaning its still using the current one, presumably the STi original?
The question is, do I *need* to change it?
TIA

no not really.
it will make minimal difference, if any.
you might get slightly better flow rates with something like a k&n panel filter, but u certainly won't notice any major performance improvement.
the only thing is, k&n's dont have to be changed... your sti one will do every 30k miles/2 years. so if you're coming up to that service, it may be worth swapping to k&n then, as you'll have to buy one anyway.
