Clutch Replaced - but still judder - running in?

Question

Hi all

I had my clutch replaced under warranty today.

Picked it up this afternoon.
Reversed out of the space at the garage... noticed a noise (like a pad rubbing) when i came up to the bite. Also.. slight judder in the car.

Thought - must be coz its new and needs to bed-in.

Drove to work... all ok.

Get home after work - reversing up driver... notice car juddering..(not much revs)

got to top of drive.. both forward and reverse seem to give a judder...

then put the clutch pedal to the floor.. and played with the revs... car judders when revs are 1000 - 1500 rpm.

I cant remember this happening before..

Any ideas?

oh - there was also that hottish clutch smell when i was at the top of the drive.

Do i need to drive any special way to run-in the clutch?

maximum revs i did on take-off today was 2500.

Did you have the clutch housing replaced as well as your clutch? I seem to remember being told that the uprated housing from the P1 needs to be fitted to completley cure the juddering.

my clutch took 2000 miles to stop juddering so try a little longer to bed it in

I'm due to take mine back for the same thing on Monday, I've done about 500 miles since warranty replacement which included a P1 housing, although the dealer didn't realise that they had fitted it
Mine also judders on the down change from 3 to 2.
What I don't understand about this running in theory, is that if it's true, why didn't the clutch judder when the car was new.
