Induction Kits - Pipercross/KN/HKS
#1
Since being told incorrectly that my ITG panel filter can't be cleaned during my 30K service (gararge name withheld -but I'm in the Horsham area)and being left with a stock panel filter I'm now considering an induction kit..
I have a STI IV MY97, question is not neccessarily which is the best (in performance), but what fits the best with less upset to the MAF and doesn't result in any other mods etc being required..
Selection of:
KN 57i
Pipercross
HKS

This has been discussed at length over the past few weeks - do a search.
I've been considering one, the aps one actually, and have decided to wait a while.
If you talk to Stef, he'll recommend the K&N having had no problems at all, but there's only one (that I know of) company that'll supply an IK with a guarantee on replacing your maf if it all goes fubar - again search in drivetrain (I think Chiark was the group buy organiser)
Go for an ITG panel filter and buy some big brakes or a FMIC - much more performance gain!!
just my 2 penneth as no one else responded!
