Is it possible to run my STI 2.5L with my stock ecu and stock injectors (380cc)?? I have a fuelregulator, so it is possible to raise the fuel a little.

Please your advice, because my shorblock is almost ready!

Regards Mike

It will probably run OK and probably manage a closed loop idle and cruise. Wouldn't give it any boost though, but if you did it would probably be excessively retarded and too rich rather than the other way.

There are more detailed ways to fiddle but they are as complicated as just getting an ECU to do it for you.

I am planning to use a link replacement ecu with my 2.5 liter in combination with 740cc. This will be rich enough I hope

Standard ECU will adjust to the 2.5Litre but as John says dont have any boost. Unplug the acutator for the safest option.

Get it remapped (Ecutek 99+) or use the Link system as you said. Remember you need a boost controller with the Link system.

Today i drove with my 2.5 sti and a unichip 400 km
The unichip was mapped for a td05 and 550 cc injectors.
the car has no knock max ref was 4000 rpm and 0.4 bar of boost.
But i bought also a link ecu.

MAP cars (MY99 and newer) do not respond well to increased displacement (engine load changes which causes it to run lean) opposed to MAF equiped cars, they do rather well on stock electronics (270 hp on EJ25 MY92 Legacy Turbo).

Will my car ride if i put 740cc in with the stock ecu, and lower the fuelpressure?
