induction kit fitting and care
I think I'm going to take the plunge and get an induction kit - probably the APS cool air one.
Fitting looks quite simple - anything I should be aware of?
any possible problems caused by vibration?
It apparently uses a K&N filter, how often do you need to clean them (i don't drive in any extreme weather conditions really)?
I take it driving through flood water requires much caution, especially if this one dips into the engine bay?
any help much appreciated

I dont know much about the APS kit but I've got the K&N kit, the only problems I encountered were:
Making sure no pipes/hoses rubbed or caught on other bits.
Watch that the accelerator cable casing does not get damaged, because on the K&N it rest on a metal ring bracket.
As for driving through flood water, don't know, but you would have to be going for it and the water to be particulary deep to flood the enginebay and induction kit!!!
Hope this helps a bit

Fosters,
I have the APS induction kit. I got it fitted professionaly last year in September. No vibrating problems as it is solidly mounted. As for water, no problems so far and the people I bought it from say the K&N filters do not allow water to pass. As for cleaning, with your environmental conditions, you should be right every 7500 miles. You can clean earlier if you like though. Great choice.
