After the first 1k miles - '01

After my initial disappointment with my new car, it looks like things are starting to pick up now. The performance is defiantly starting to improve. The car is pulling well from around 4k on the rev counter, but still seems to *back off* quite a way before the redline area. Unless Im imagining things, it feels ever so slightly as if the boost is fluctuating. This is especially apparant in 2nd gear thrash moments. My Quattro Turbo used to do the same thing when the wastegate was adjusted to turn the boost down.
My biggest gripe with the car so far is the indicator relay. It doesn't always cancel, and is imposible to hear it "clicking" over road/music noise.
So things are looking up, and hopefully the car I have, will turn out to be the car I've read so many good things about![](http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif)

Mike, the boost is fluctuating. Install a boost gauge. You will see that max boost does not always come up. The ECU plays a lot of boost tricks. Get an EBC, response will improve and you can dial in your boost as you please. And yes, the car gets faster everytime Im in it. Im at 5100miles.
