Subaru Link EMS vs. External Controllers
#1
Thanks to all that replied to my last post regarding boost controllers, however now I am considering the LINK EMS unit. It takes the place of a Turbo timer, boost controller, fuel, and ignition devices. At $1,630 the price does not seem too bad considering the rest add up to about the same, and I have a hidden ECU replacement not 4 devices which have no real mounting spot.
If anyone has any real experience with the Link please let me know. Planning on +300Bhp in a internally stock My02, basically a U.S. Spec New Age 2002 WRX, whew hoo!!!
**Just as a tid bit, here in the U.S. we only have 2-wheel drive dynos for emissions testing (AWD and 4WD can not be tested at high speeds on the roller) this way all they can test is idle...sorry lads but I can run a very high flowing motor and still pass emissions every 5 years!!!

Are you sure this particular LINK ECU is suited for the MY02 model?
The only US guy I know that is using a LINK in his Subaru is Adam Bloom. But he is using a MY99 model. Here is a link to his website.
