Am about to do a few changes to the car..

Are they worth changing ??

It largely depends on whether or not your existing up-pipe has a cat in it. If you were changing the exhaust manifold, that may also cause you to change up-pipe.

correct me if i am wrong, but the early wrx, such as mine which is my93, did not have a cat in the up-pipe?

Its only the new age WRX that has a cat in the up-pipe (interesting to see what happens to the turbo when they start breaking up in a few years!).
Its not worth changing it otherwise and its a real xxxx of a job as well.

It'a 98 uk car, so it wont have a cat.

It's just that i'm changing the turbo, and wondered if it's worth doing while that off.

AFAIK it's only MY01/MY02 that had cats in the up-pipes.
