Cool

Does any one know if the centre diff is the same on a 97 uk box and a 95 wrx.I have had the uk box rebuilt and discovered the diff has lost teeth and the bearing has turned blue, this is a worry as i changed the rear diff when i changed from the original 95 wrx set up,surely this would have prevented the centre diff from burning out.I am hoping the damage was caused by me stripping all the teeth off third gear and having to drive seven miles home with only forth gear.Any advice would be great.

your post is a bit confusing, i am not sure what you changed with what?

The JDM WRX and the UK gearboxes have diferent drop gears in them that requires diferent rear diffs to match the front diff. So if you took a UK box and put that in a WRX you are going to destroy the centre diff unless you replace the rear diff at the same time.

Cool

Sorry if its confusing,I changed the gearbox and the rear diff from a 95 wrx to a 97 uk setup to get the longer gearing, the uk box broke in less than 500 miles.
Matt.
