hi
i have a 96 classic import wrx impreza, and can get hold of a 2.3 turbo legacy engine from a 92 import legacy....
can anyone confirm if the engine will be a straight swap into the impreza? as in the whole block with everything- gearbox etc...

never heard of a 2.3 turbo leggy.
most 92 leggys are 2.0 single turbo.
if this is what you ment, then i think the RS leggy is the same engine and gbox as a wrx impreza.

It could be a USDM 2.2 litre turbo w/o intercooler. Makes 160 bhp. Has a closed deck EJ22 engine (almost same as 22B) but with SOHC heads.
