Induction Kit - does it increase mpg?
#1
Since fitting a s/hand Piper X induction kit to my 94 UK Turbo, petrol economy has increased by at least 20 miles per tank. Is this a known feature(?) of this mod. or is it I'm just driving like an old fart because its a bit more noisy?

I've seen a slight improvement since fitting an HKS induction kit. I suspect it has something to do with the increased airflow meaning that the car is running a little leaner - hence less fuel used.

I noticed the same thing after fitting my PX, but I think it is more down to the fact you can hear the turbo spooling up easier, and therefore when cruising, tend to drive off-boost a bit more??

I get the same by removing the resonator.
With the standard induction setup I think you put your foot down harder to get the same effect....hence worse economy
