I'm new to the scene so can anyone tell me
do'es MY97 ukturbo have 2 cats, 1 in the down pipe and one in the center section

If I get a ss system is only the back box you get and the cat replacement pipe is for the center section

Has anyone fitted a full system turbo back and not fitted heat shields and had problems

 

Look under the car at the centre pipe - easy to tell, there'll be 2 bulges in it if there's a cat there.
SS system is in 3 sections, rear box (a must!)centre pipe is decat and decat downpipe.

With regard to heat shields, do you mean the tinny bits on the std exhaust - if so mine has none and no problems. If you mean the heat shield round the turbo, this has to go back.
