Help! Loyale sucks up oil in intake
#1
My 1991 Loyale sucks up about an ounce of oil into the air intake tube all at once after about an hour of freeway use, and produces a cloud of oil behind the car. This happens all at once when I'm going down the highway. The oil gets on the Air sensor and air filter. The car stalls because of oil on sensor.
I can restart after the oil is cleaned off the sensor and related parts. Then everything is fine till the next time.
It is snowing here and about 28 degrees. I put the tubes coming from the valve covers into a pop can. Then plugged up the holes in the air intake where they went. The car drove great for 40 miles. And when I checked the can all I'm getting in the can from the valve covers is condensation. Not even any oil, just about a half ounce of water.
Is my smog device plugged, or plugging shut?
What is going on? I have never had a problem like this.
The motor has 160,000 miles on the odo, but runs strong. When I checked the plugs they all were burning with a light brown tint, no oil usage.
Please help!
