550 CC or 740 CC injectors for 2.5 engine

I am building a engine with the 2.5 sti shortblock
I have 550 injectors and a FPR.

need i bigger injectors or kan i use the 550
I want a reliable 400 a 450 BHP

Water injection is also a option


car is a my98 uk
mods
Greddy EGT meter
td05/06
Gruppe s mainfold
Mrt inlet hose

You should be seeing about 420-30bhp on that turbo so 550's should just be enough when using uprated fuel pressure. I have pretty much the same setup but my 500's will not be enough so idealy i need 650's but they are too expensive so im getting 740's

I have 850cc on my 2.5 (not a us 2.5 though), and it seems fine for the power I have, and idle is not a problem.

Scott they may even be 800's by the end of the day.......


For a 2.5 on 650's you'll achieve around 407 bhp, they'll be under powered for serious running. You'll need larger.............

Well Knowlesy i was running near or even over 400bhp on 500cc at 82% injector duty cycle
