Red face

i'm sure the p1 exhaust is an sti5 item but with a revised catalyst, but may be wrong!
my question is:-
i have a magnex mid section and a milltek rear on my uk99.
could i/should i put the back box on my P1 when i get it next week,i'm assuming the mid will not fit or be needed.
because it is a P1 should i really only fit the prodrive upgrade silencer?
excuse my lack of knowledge but can't really go to the dealer and start crawling underneath to see what it all looks like underneath.
any other advice on P1 ownership welcome.either on here or mail me .
thanks
pete

Question

Erm, its not clear what youre saying but i feel you'll be better off using the magnex/milltek combination on your P1 than the Prodrive one. Both sections should fit fine.

thanks sunilp
thats the answer i was looking for, sorry the question wasn't clear.
does the P1 still have a cat in the downpipe and in the mid section?
i'm not looking for major power i just want the engine to breath easier and make sure the car sounds as good as it looks.
what about the air filter? what do i do there?
thanks

Cool

I think is has been posted elsewhere that the supplied P1 downpipe has a slightly less restrictive cat than the normal UK car but the part number in event of any replacement will be the same as a normaul UK Impreza!. This is prob best changed for an Scoobysports one.

The centre section will be the same as STiV5 centre, no cats but two small silencers. This is more restrictive than the magnex centre - i know because i had the same centre sections!

Your best bet it to swap the DP to an SS one and swap your centre and back to magnex/milltek and when 3yrs rolls along, swap them back for MOT if necessary.

Air filter, well you can go for an induction kit like HKS or K&N or a good quality panle filter like ITG from Scoobysport.
