Hi guys,

The gearbox on my '94 UK Turbo is about to let go.

Symptoms are a fairly loud whining noise in most gears and the odd clunk here and there. Took it to a local specialist who confirmed that he also thinks it is the gearbox. He says he can get it reconditioned for about £300 - 400. I was wondering if anyone knew how reasonable that was?

Also if anyone knows of a second hand gearbox because the re-con might not be done before christmas which would be a big problem for me.
