On my00 uk car, I am getting a knocking/judder when on full lock at parking speeds, especially in reverse. I suspect it is the diffs causing a wheel to skip, but is this likely, if so what should I do ?

Trig that's a definate diff failure, on a UK car. Get it to your dealer ASAP, as it would be very unstable in the wet.
