My turbo-terrific is not so terrific at the moment.
When easing off a planted throttle from about 5k revs the car behaves like the throttle has been backed right off, then mashed back down, and then released again !
As the second release occurs there is a thud from the rear as exhaust/drivetrain bashes something hard.

The only modifications to my UK MY99 are an ITG, SS backbox, no resonator box.

Has anyone else experienced this situation ?

Ta Pete

Thumbs up

When I am caning my Scoob (not very regular - honest )as I release the accelerator it backs off and I immediately get a quick surge and as I wham it into the next gear there is a thud at the back. Everyone I have driven is the same - isn't it great!

Scotty.

PS: Is this what you mean?

Hi Scotty

Yes I get this as well when I am changing gear....but my problem is also when backing off but not changing gear.
This really does produce an unbalancing of the car. i.e. backing off during a corner is not good for me.

Are you saying the car feels like the accelerator has been floored momentarily even though you're not on the gas?
Sounds like you should visit your ocal Scoob Doctor to me.

Stef.

They all seem to thud when having fun - I think it's called 'loads of power and nowhere to put it' until your foot goes back down!
The on/off the gas bit sounds like it needs looking at.

Thanks for the replies, including email from Pete Croney

I'm off to the local dealer this Thursday so I'll mention this problem...along with the list of my other problems
Just hope they can sort it without blaming the resonator/ITG modification

Just like to add how much I appreciate the time and effort people take on this bulletin board to pass on advice/information
