SQUEAKY EXHAUST WHEN COLD
#1
Hi,
This is probably an easy thing to fix but when I went in for my last service they didn't cure it.
When I start my car from cold and pull away slowly or turn off the engine whilst still cold the exhaust squeaks as it shudders to a stop.
It's all standard apart from the SS backbox.
Any ideas?
Thanks Scotty.

Seems likely there's a mouse inside and it objects to you turning his central heating off!
Seriously - it is more than likely that the rubbers are squeaking as the exhaust rocks when the engine is cut. Check the box is sitting correctly on the hangers/rubbers. You could lubricate with some rubber-friendly grease or vaseline. (I suppose KY jelly would do!)
