Unhappy

Went to Powerstation this morning to have a Bailey valve fitted to my UK MY99 (June 99). However, was told by Rich that he couldn't fit to the car due to the positon of the existing valve.
I was of course mortified, I had been looking forward to scaring the old and informed for a couple of weeks .
Has anyone tried to fit to a 99, or any ideas on which one can be used?
As an aside, power run was successfull with the car putting out 229bhp, only mode being scoobysport rear box and ITG filter. Any thought on cheap ways (don't realy want to play around with ECU) to up power/torque.
Cheers
Matt

Cool

I have a my99 and have just fitted a bailey evo dump valve to it.

The fitting kit for it which bolts the dump valve to the intercooler is available from graham goode racing in leicester ( they have just finished making them ). They are available in red, blue and alloy and cost £55 which aint cheap but they work and fit well.

Hope this helps and good whooshing!

yes the same thing. It just makes a whooshing noise when you change gear - as I understand. A bit like Gran Turismo if youv'e got the game.

What were your reasons for fitting a different dump valve to a MY99 ?

Was it
a) That the original is well sized and needs no replacement.
b) That a vent to atmosphere valve can make driving the car tricky ?

Just wondering.....

wish I had £50 I could spend for no gains LOL

Question

Just for the noise. Why would it make the car tricky to drive?

remove the resonator box and get the soundtrack for FREE .

Do a search on "Resonator Box" - there's been a lot a talk about it recently.

I removed mine a few weeks ago, sounds good (intake sucking and blow off) ; not so loud that you (or passengers) would get sick of it.
