Anyone have any idea of how much oil the gearbox and diff takes for a oilchange I can only get the oil in litre bottles and I have no idea how many litres will do the job.

Hello Ian, just getting ready to put the RA box in. Does the whole box share the 4 litres or does each 'box' have its own oils?
Hope the engine is moving on.
Regards, Graham.

Hi Graham

Its the whole box that uses the 4 litres. I have always bought 4 litres and put the lot in, and it has always brought it nicely onto the 'max' mark on the dipstick.
Same with the rear diff, 1 litre always seems to bring it up to the fill level.

My car is up and running and touch wood is fine. It is completely standard now and going in the autotrader this week.
I sold my bottom engine with some impreza wrx heads and inlet manifold on friday. Only thing left to sell is the 16's and the car lol, easier said than done!

Keep me posted how you get on, and email if you get stuck with any area of removal/fitting of both.

Cheers
Ian

Ian, would you believe my biggest problem is finding some axle stands tall enough to get the car high enough off the garage floor?
My normal ones are short by about 200mm....Here comes another £50 to someone else.
Thanks for the offer, you KNOW I'll take you up on it!
Graham.
