Hi, I know this is a well oiled subject on these pages, but I'm still not too clear on the pros & cons of the dump valve and induction kit.

The Induction kit I can understand the benefit, especially on a turbo car, have even fitted them on past cars.

But the dump valve. On a 95 WRX currently with aftermarket exhaust, soon to have induction kit.. will a blitz dump valve be worth it over the standard.. ?? I've heard it'll be kinder for the turbo, maybe even giving a 30% extention on its life.

But are there any other good or bad side effects I should know about before parting with hard earned cash..(or not as the case maybe) Thanks

Cool

As you say, it's an old subject... maybe you could do an archive search on "induction kits", "cone filters", "blow off valves" and "dump valves"... hopefully that will answer all your queries... go to the bbs main page (forum list) and hit the search link on the top right of the page.

Cool

Briefly: If you must have a dump valve (for the noise, of because your O.E. part is leaking boost...) then I would advise against the Blitz and for a cheaper, more applicable sequential unit, such as the Bailey piston evo or the forge motorsport units... why pay more than twice the price for a less effective unit?
