I had a Magnex exhaust with 6x4 tail pipe fitted last week and have covered about 150 miles with it so far. It seems to sound different every time I go out.
I believe they generally get quieter as they coke up inside. How many miles will I need to do before this process is complete? The sound is very boomy at the moment when listening from inside the car. It sounds like the car is in cave. I heard quite a few of these exhausts a track days and they all seemed quiter than mine.

hi - I think mine's taken about 10months with about 20k miles on a motorway!!
I've got a wagon so its probably louder than the saloon - I think you do get used to it :-)
cheers

Fitted a Magnex 3.5inch round last Friday to my WRX 4-door. If anything I think it's fairly quiet. You hardly notice it with the windows up. But with them down it sounds excellent.
I'm pleased tho as I didn't want it to be too intrusive. It's certainly alot less noisey than my previous car, a Series 1 Turbo with a full Tube Torque stainless.
