My Cars Broken - why????
#1
I started the car this morning and noticed I only had about 6psi of boost, I cleaned my boost solenoid yesterday and had 11.5psi last night!
I then drove about 20miles then got stuck in traffic and the car wouldn't idle or accelerate. It sounded really rough and looked like it was going to stop so after considering my options I stuck it in second and floored it, took ages to hit 5000rpm then turbo kicked in and it pulled away. At the next set of traffic lights I was idling at 1500rmp but at least it was driveable. When I got to the office I’d done about 45miles and noticed I’d used about ½ tank of petrol which is alarming, I was in the office about 45mins but when I tried to start the car it was back to sounding really rough, no acceleration and trying to cut out. Done the same again floored it to 5000rpm, again it took ages to get there but it eventually pulled away, drove back to where I work which is about 20 miles and used roughly ¼ tank of petrol and was only doing 60mph.
Oh and I get 11.5psi on boost back once I’ve floored it.
What’s gone wrong???????????????????????????

Pipe come off of the boost controller or map sensor where you disturbed them, or not put back on or one split where you moved them about..?? that is where I would be looking anyway..
I normally fix one problem and creat two..
Check all the hoses..

A hah.. soundsl ike you cleaning put fluid in the map sensor?
Try cleaning all the pipes out and put the map sensor in a warm house etc.. ??
Or just fit the new one when it arrives of course.
