Hello All, Scooby's not starting to well of late and takes 2 turns of the key to fire up. When he does start, car misfires/Splutters for a while (like damp has got into electrics or something). Car's fine when it has warmed up, but Scoob not like cold mornings.(bit like it's owner )

Anyone else get this, and will a simple last with WD40 on the leads fix this or should I get it checked out.

car's a MY96 STi V2

Same car same problem,
Have you had a PE phase 2 done? I have had mine redone in an attempt to cure the cold start problem and it is better starts on second turn now.
Symptoms
Turn key
turns over and fires
stops almost immediately
turn key again
fires
runs like an absolute dog for about 10 secs as cylinders start to fire.
all four now fire fine revs up ti 1400
no furthur problems.

Sound similar?

Paul,

thats it exactly, symptoms are the same..

Never been touched by anyone over here, I brought the car in recently from Japan.
Unless it's been modded over there, I've no idea what to do to cure it. Guess it's off to lockyear's then to let them have a look.
