I've been looking through the service bills for my MY00 Impreza and on the 45K service and the 30-somthing mile service under notes for both bills its says slight leak from cam cover. Its on 43K now and the 45K service was done in July ish by Cardiff Subaru.

There are no drips under the car and no smoking so I guess its not too bad but should I change it anyway? I'm surprised that something mentioned twice at service intervals hasn't been replaced/repaired.

If there is no sign of oil smoke or smell, you might as well leave it until there is. You will soon know when it starts and it only takes a small leak to show smoke etc. Their comment may just mean a vey small weep of oil so far which is not significant yet. It is very unlikely to suddenly start pouring out all over the floor.
