Cool

Howdy..

This must be lesson 5.1..

I never like that idea....never sure if it works... lol

Why not just pull the main fuse from the fuse box in the engine bay...

You will get to keep your radio presets too

J.

Having tried it several times in sorting out my little problem - the definately behaved differently than before. And it also cleared the ECU memory - as before - fault code was present - afterwards the fault code went away until the AFR went odd again.

I can only say that this standard procedure in OZ.

Question - when you cut power to the ECU, how long do you wait for the capacitors to discharge - a minute, hour, day, week?

Food for thought

David

Cool

The easiest way is to be at an aftermarket supplier whilst they have a "Select Monitor". In the supplier/customer relationship maintenance ritual they do it for free

It also ensures the car has no past or present defects stored that the non-technically minded of us were unaware of, and that the voltage generated by the car will not blow the lights I intend to have fitted next weekend..... but that's already mentioned in other threads

FWIW
