Ok, so my car started life as a 'pretty happy' MY95 WRX with 260PS and to my knowledge no mods other than STi Mudflaps and Speedline Super-Ts.
There have been a few changes over my 4 1/2 years of ownership. Ignoring the cosmetic mods, here are its current vital statitics:
Piper-X induction
FSE fuel pressure regulator
Walbro fuel pump
TSL open neck dp (no cat)
Scorpion centre section (no cat)
Scoobyworld Ninja silencer
TD05 Turbo
440 cc injectors
STi ver III bottom end (mated to WRX inlet manifold)
Scoobyecu running Prova Map(generic)to 16.42 PSI, rev limit at 8K rpm
Custom remap (comming very soon - maybe this weekend)
UK gearbox & rear differential
And in terms of putting power @ the wheels on the road:
Eibach springs
MRT front & rear (adj) anti-roll bars
Anti-lift kit
Right then - I'm not sure what peak/held boost etc the car will be running after the remap, but the current effect of the scoobyecu is that the car feels much smoother and is allowed to rev higher if required, delivering power comfortably beyond 7.5K (rarely go there, but had to prove it at least once). Only current problem with the setup we think is possible overfuelling at full load (foot to the floor).
While I don't think its quite as frantic as with the Jap box, it still seems to reach the 7K red line fairly quickly. So my question to the clever bods out there is... given that a custom map is on the way, what do you estimate my concoction of modifications will equate to in respect of the following factors and why?
1) BHP
2) Torque
3) On the road performance/feel
All opinions will be gratefully received. A rolling road session will also be forthcoming once the remap has taken place to confirm things. My nearest road is the John Noble Motorsport one at Chesterfield. Is this a fairly well respected one?
Cheers,
Kevin

oh and one other thing - seeing as the car is being remapped, would peeps suggest some heat sheilding and or a direct cold air feed to the Piper-X?
Hi couple of questions m8?
TD05 Turbo - Didn't it have one as standard or is this a modded one?
440 cc injectors - & Generic Prova Map (designed for 380cc injectors)?
PS - With this spec you need to invest in cooling so you hold your boost further up the rev range - I'd recommend WI.

Hi Chris,
Yes its the orginal TD05 and yes the Map I believe was designed for 380 injectors, but Pavlo will be remmaping the ECU to suit the mods I have.
By WI, do you mean water spray on the intercooler or other (please clarify)???
Ta,
Kevin

The remap will cure your overfuelling issue.
Water Injection will allow you to run much more boost & hold it longer.
Suggest you talk to Pavlo about getting a later 3 bar MAP sensor too.
Delboys motor (alright m8) is good example of what can be acheived with this set-up.

Cheers Chris,
Any stats on Delboy's motor? What do you reckon is achievable given the current setup (i.e. no WI)? I think Pavlo intends to limit boost to 16.2 PSI peak, but I guess we'll see on the day.

My setup was similar to your appart from running an HKS EVCIV boost controller, Aquamist water injection, MY00 map sensor and custom mapped scoobyecu.
Before fitting Map sensor carried out numerous 'Road Dyno' runs running 16.2psig (1.15kg/cm2) and consistently achieved around 295hp @ 5800rpm and between 285-292lb/ft torque between 4200-4500rpm but hit overboost in 4th and 5th(These were using NF octane booster to minimise DET).
With map sensor and version 5/6 tmic was able to run 17.2psig(1.20kg/cm2) achieving consistent runs of 315hp @ 5700rpm and 314lb/ft torque @ 4900-5000rpm(Using NF octane booster).
Things have come along way since
Hope this helps M8

Delboy,
cheers for that, it does help. i have a better idea of what i need to get where i might want to go next, should i decide to go the extra step (where finances allow). for now, i need to ensure safety until Xmas is out of the way.

Delboy,
Ok this is where we are now. The car has been mapped and we achieved 1.3 bar boost (held). It does fly now, I'm well chuffed. Once the mandatory boost gauge and knocklink purchases are out of the way, it appears the next plan is for a later STi (perhaps 4/5 like yours) is on the cards.

Nice one M8
My TMIC is a version 5/6 from a MY00 which has the denser fins (Made a remarkable difference over the standard one
), I will be selling it shortly though as I'm moving onto a FMIC in the New Year
Fitted my Gruppe headers and up-pipe today and am well chuffed with the results
Cheers M8

Well if the improvement to my car is anything to go by, with WI, FMIC and your recent mods, you car's performance will be totally awesome???
