improving vf 34 spool up
I have a My01 wrx with
3 inch full decat twin dump pipe exhaust SPT
decat upipe
vf34 turbo
MRT tmic v2
samco interco0ler hoses
mrt twin fuel rail
255lph walboro pump
550 cc sti injectors
knock link
gfb stealth bov(full recirculate)
ecutek retune ( +50 kw atw)
boost guage
I have the standard air box with the resonator
I am getting 1 bar at 3800. Full boost occurs at 4679(1.09 bar.(97 octane))But max torque between 2000 to 3000 rpm is 130nm atw. it was 210 nm on the td04. Torque below 3000 rpm has decreased. DD figures on a rolling road in 4th gear.
I would like to improve turbo spool up an improve the torque between 2000 to 3000 rpm. What can I do to get this. What additional parts should I look at getting.
TIA

Check for uppipe and wastegate sealing.
VF34 should be at 1 bar about 1000 RPM earlier than that at least in top gear, 100-200RPM later for each lower gear.
To check it is not boost control related you could disconnect the pressure feed to the actuator and then drive from 2000 RPM and see if it spools up any better. If so the map needs adjusting or you need a boost controller. Be ready to back off as if this is the problem you will get MASSIVE boost just over 3000 RPM.
