Question

After a lot of reading on here and a few well meant suggestions i went off to Halfords and bought an L300 lambda today. However, it comes with a black and two white wires and mine (UK MY94) has a black, red and white.

Do i need to change the new Lambda for another?

Thanks in advance, a very confused Roy.

take it back, get a "three wire" one instead, as there are different ones available as "universal" ones.

black and two white wires would mean he allready has a 3 wire one imo

ive just been under my bonnet on my 97 wrx and my lambda sensor is right up near the turbo and has only 2 wires

On a UK MY94 there is a three wire sensor on the downpipe. I replaced it with a three wire universal lambda. You need to cut and crimp the genuine Subaru connector on and this is where i was getting confused because the colours don't match up.

But thanks to JGM and others i just connected the black to the black, and the two whites to the red and the white respectively.

I'll find out tomorrow if it has fixed the emissions failure.

Thanks for the replys.

Roy.
