I have the non-turbo sedan, with a badly blown head gasket on the right side. The car is old and beaten, not far from being scrapped. I'm strongly tempted to attempt replacing this gasket, as I have little to lose. I've done this before on my Escort, so I know the basic principles of the task.

My question is, how difficult is this job, and are there any particularly tricky points? Has anyone here done this job?
