Is it as easy as it looks? I'm totaly useless with cars, but surely this can't be too difficult.
Can I go wrong? Any advice for a mechanically challenged **** head?

Is this a panel filter or cone filter??

I would guess panel.. Very easy to fit, unclip top of airbox and lift, pull old panel out noting which way up it goes. Then reverse process

Do you not have to dissconnect the pipe on the air flow meter?
When I unclip the two clips it doesn't want to come off, is there a third clip somewhere?

Important

When fitting the green one you must ensure that the panel filter is centered correctly in the airbox (this is different from the ITG)

You may need to cut little bits off the rubber lugs on the filter (probably half of each one) to ensure a snugh fit but make sure that you cut and equal amount off every lug to ensure it stays centered.

Cheers
Si

I fitted my green panel filter over the weekend. It was easy, and I really am sh!te with cars.
As for any difference, I couldn't notice any.
The thing is, when you take her for a spin after you fit it, you are looking too hard for a difference.

I fitted the filter this morning, it was pretty easy.
The filter was already trimmed by TSL. It took a firm push to get it in place. I take it that the rubber edging is meant to sit on top of the air box housing? (with the trimmed grommets inside the box)
If anything, the car felt less sharp (at times) Probably just me.
The top corner of my air box has allways been a little higher than the opposite end, and does not sit completely over the bottom part of the box, is this a concern?

I took the small rubber srtip off the inside of my bonnett today. The one above the headlight (drivers side)
I was told this would aid cooling. Is this correct? As anyone else done this?
