I would like to know how many of you already have damage big end bearings????
I have this problem and the workshop tell me that I cheap I buy a new sort block vs fix my???
To you that have changes in your engine (like me ;-)) this is normal ???

It is most often easier to replace the "short motor" than replace the crankshaft and pistons.
It is a common failure to happen, as the oilway in the crankshaft blocks and it runs a bearing. Either that or the oil pump fails.
whatever happened, dont forget to change the oil pump as well, whilst it is stripped down, very expensive to replace later..

mine has done the same thing having a new block put in my car is a my97 sti type r i have done all of these mod
hks front mount
blits air filter
hks boost controller
aqua mist
the new block is costing me 3k so when i get the car back its going up for sale
